Building an online community

Welcome to Local Ad News

Building an online community takes time and energy just the way it does in real life. It's rewarding in the same way.

I may have read an article or watched a video through the week.
I write about it Saturday morning when I'm looking for a little quiet time.

I read about marketing online and share the information I gather here.

The great thing about a membership site like this is that the members contribute content and drive traffic to it.That increases the site's exposure without me having to invest my time. There is a synergistic result. Then members can click a share button and their message is broadcast over twitter, Facebook , Linkedin and all the social media sites. That attracts new members or at least new visitors.

This same platform can be used in a number of ways.

You can build a community of customers or a community of sales agents. You can even combine the two.

Businesses with agents all over the country can use a site like this as a training platform, publish training materials answer frequently asked questions, run contests and reward programs, hold discussions etc.

Just publishing answers to  FAQ’s on a forum like this saves tons of time for both the sales people and the sales manager. The knowledge base is accumulative and contributions can come from all parties.

Online communities for direct marketing businesses help keep everyone connected.
As I’m sure you know, there can be a sense of isolation out there in the field.

Reward and incentive programs are used to keep everyone interested. Customers and sales people alike.

The dashboards are flexible and simple enough to use once you understand them.
They can be private members clubs by invitation only and stacked with different levels of access.

I have spent some time understanding all of this.

If you have any questions about setting one up for your business I would be happy to help.

I'm Bob Polan.
